The Tennessee Mountaineers was a local church group from Bluff City, Tennessee. The name for the group of 20 individuals was crafted by Ralph Peer himself. This group included one member by the name of Roy Hobbs, who was in fact, one of A.P. Carter’s (The Carter Family) brothers-in-law.
